What is the difference between shared and private transfers?

Transfer Slovenia offers various transfer options to cater to our customers’ different preferences, budgets, and flexibility needs.

SHARED transfer:

Our Shared transfer service offers a cost-effective transportation option on our standard routes. Passengers with similar travel time preferences are grouped together in the same vehicle.

  • You choose your desired departure time or a range of departure times, along with the transfer price, during booking.
  • The price is fixed at the time of booking and is lower if you book in advance, travel with more people, or select a standard Transfer Slovenia pick-up or drop-off location.
  • The exact departure time is communicated to you one day before the transfer via SMS and email.
  • Please note that the Shared transfer service is non-refundable in case of cancellation.

PRIVATE transfer:

The Private transfer is a fully private ride on our standard routes, catering to businesses and individuals seeking a private and affordable transportation option. You can select your preferred departure or arrival time during booking, and the price is confirmed immediately.

  • If you choose the refundable option, you are eligible for a full refund if the transfer is canceled at least 48 hours in advance.

Customized transfer:

Our customized transfer service is designed for travelers with specific requirements. It offers flexibility and can be tailored entirely to your needs. Whether it’s the timing or the location, we strive to accommodate your preferences anytime, anywhere.

The exact departure time will be provided to you one day prior to the transfer. Our optimization system strives to set the pick-up time as close as possible to your desired departure time. It is crucial to select the appropriate time option during the booking:

  • The arrival time is suitable when you need to reach your destination within a specific time frame (e.g., to catch a flight or attend a meeting).
  • The departure time is the ideal choice if you need to depart as soon as possible from your location without strict time constraints for arrival at your destination.

What are the regular Transfer Slovenia routes?

Transfer Slovenia offers various transportation routes all across Slovenia and surrounding areas. You can view all our available routes by clicking here. If you cannot find the desired route (for travel from a different location or to another destination), you can request a customized transfer.

Where can you pick me up?

We can pick you up from any location you prefer. The most cost-effective option is to select one of the standard Transfer Slovenia pick-up locations provided during the booking process. However, you also have the flexibility to choose pick-up from your home, workplace, or any other specific location. You can specify the exact pick-up location in the booking form on our homepage.

Why does the booking system only offer me a private transfer but not a shared transfer?

If the booking search only offers you a Private transfer, it means that either Shared transfers are not available on the chosen route or all the seats for Shared transfers have already been booked.

What kind of vehicles do you use for passenger transportation?

We utilize minibusses, personal cars, and buses for our transfers. These vehicles are specifically designed for passenger transport and equipped with all the necessary safety features. Our fleet consists of the latest vehicle models, regularly cleaned, maintained, and serviced.

How will I recognize a Transfer Slovenia vehicle?

You can easily identify our vehicles as most of our minibusses are branded. One hour before your transfer, we will provide you with the license plate number of the vehicle. Additionally, you can contact your driver if you need assistance in locating your ride.

What is the luggage allowance?

Each passenger is permitted to bring 1x hand luggage weighing up to 4kg and 1x cabin luggage weighing up to 10kg (with dimensions of 55x40x23 cm). Additional baggage can only be transported if declared during the booking process, with options for luggage up to 20kg (maximum dimensions of 70x57x32 cm) or luggage up to 32kg (maximum dimensions of 93x76x42 cm).

Can you transport larger special luggage?

We can transport special luggage as long as it does not exceed the maximum dimensions of 132 x 73 x 18 cm. Please declare any special luggage during the final step of the purchase. If the special luggage exceeds the maximum dimensions, we regret that we will be unable to transport it.

It is mandatory that you contact us immediately after purchasing your Transfer Slovenia transfer to inform us about the type of special luggage and its dimensions. You can reach us via chat or email at info@transferslovenia.com.

Can you provide a child seat?

Please select an appropriate child seat during the final step of the purchase. Child seats are provided free of charge. The type of child seat depends on the child’s weight at the time of travel, so please exercise caution when selecting the seat.

The transfer price for a child is the same as for an adult.

How can I file a complaint regarding your services?

Complaints can be submitted within 15 days following the transfer. For easier tracking, complaints can only be filed in the Transfer Slovenia section on the Transfer Slovenia website.

Transfer Slovenia does not accept or respond to complaints received via email.

To submit a complaint, log in to the Transfer Slovenia website, go to Transfer Slovenia, locate your transfer, and complete the complaint form. If you are not the buyer of the transfer, you can find the transfer in Transfer Slovenia using the booking number and the first passenger’s email address.

Complaints can also be submitted for already canceled bookings within 15 days after cancellation.

We will address your complaint as soon as possible.

May I take my pet with me when I travel with Transfer Slovenia?

For safety reasons, transportation of smaller animals (such as cats or dogs) is only possible with a Private transfer, upon prior written approval by Transfer Slovenia, and when the pet is accompanied by an adult.

If you wish to travel with your pet, please contact us via chat before purchasing your transfer. The same procedure should be followed for guide and assistance dogs accompanying disabled passengers. They are always welcome on board, but you need to inform us in advance and provide appropriate certificates.

Please note that Transfer Slovenia may refuse the transfer of your pet if it is considered unsafe or impossible due to the pet’s type, size, condition, or our transport capacity. Also, please ensure that animals are securely placed in an appropriate animal transport box and always travel in the company and under the supervision of their responsible owner. The transfer of your pet is free of charge.

What are the options for out-of-court dispute resolution?

For online purchases, the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform enables out-of-court dispute resolution.

Regarding consumer disputes, Transfer Slovenia does not recognize any specific entity/person for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes that may be initiated by the customer.

To receive a full refund, travelers may cancel up to 2 hours before the transfer start time in the local timezone. No refunds will be given after that time period.

To receive a full refund, travelers may cancel up to 12 hours before the transfer start time in the local timezone. No refunds will be given after that time period.
Tours
Policy type: Standard
To receive a full refund, travelers may cancel up to 24 hours before the experience start time in the local timezone. No refunds will be given after that time period.
Other post-booking policies

You may reserve the right to cancel a customer’s booking for a full refund in case of bad weather.
